We are looking for a Laboratory Manager to work in our Chantilly, VA office.

Your Role:

Primary job functions include overseeing of laboratory testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, etc.

Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Familiarity with and ability to comprehend applicable ASTM standards.
  • Assist with annual laboratory accreditations.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 60-80 pounds (soil and concrete samples, nuclear gauges, etc.).
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Participation in a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends, as required.
  • Previous experience with GeoSystems software or equivalent is a plus.

Primary responsibilities would include but are not limited to:

  • organizing the lab,
  • managing lab throughput,
  • tracking samples, results, and billing,
  • training lab staff,
  • maintaining, repairing and calibrating of laboratory and field equipment
  • maintaining lab accreditation,
  • assist in geotechnical investigations, design and analysis
